Exploring the Oisans

Whether you want to relax with the family or enjoy the mountain activities, Bourg d'Oisans is the ideal base for your holiday.

The town has a great atmosphere and the people are welcoming and friendly.  There are a number of shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. In the summer months there is also a great Saturday morning market.

The region is renowned for cycling, if you enjoy cycling and mountain bike riding we think we have some of the best all mountain and singletrack trails in the French Alps, and of course the famous climb up to Alpe d'Huez is a must for any road rider. 

From Alpe d'Huez, just 20 minutes away by car or bus, you can take a cable car ride 3303m to and from the top of the Pic Blanc and take in the amazing views of the mountains.

Bourg d'Oisans is right on the doorstep of the Ecrins national park an area of outstanding natural beauty waiting to be explored.

Further a field why not take a day trip to Italy, or the walled fortress town of Briancon, or take in the sights in Grenoble.

There are many activities which you can enjoy from walking and hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, horse riding and paragliding all right on the doorstep.
